Congratulations to all Socialist Party members and supporters for making sure that we have already smashed through our fighting fund target with just over a week to go. We urge all members to continue their fundraising efforts with campaign stalls and other activities, and to pay in all money urgently, including outstanding pledges from the marvellous fighting fund appeal at the recent Socialist Party congress, before 31 March.
Since the strike wave started, Socialist Party members have visited of picket lines and demonstrations offering support and solidarity with all those workers fighting back. But we also bring a clear strategy on how these struggles could be strengthened, through uniting the strikes, the building of national strike funds and the struggle for a new mass workers’ party. We do this through our discussion on the picket lines, the Socialist newspaper, hundreds of thousands of leaflets and thousands of posters and placards. This material is welcomed on the picket lines and the debates that workers are having about how they can win their disputes are regularly featured in the pages of the Socialist.
The production of this material costs us thousands of pounds, but it is vital that we continue to produce and distribute it to as many people as possible. The Socialist Party’s fighting fund campaign each quarter is a way of making sure we have the resources to continue do so. We urge every member and supporter to think what you can do to help us raise money to meet the target this quarter and the next.
