Members of the University and College Union (UCU) at the University of Bradford took a further three days of strike action, on A-Level results day and the subsequent days, in their ongoing dispute over course and job cuts.

Management had met with them the day before the strike, but no guarantees have been given to the union.

One picket said: “They’re rearranging the deckchairs whilst the ship is sinking”. The lasting solution to this crisis, repeated in universities round the country, lies in demanding that the Labour government fully funds education.
